Personal Development: Night Time Landscape Photography

Influenced by works by photographers such as Mark Gee and Jan Staller who have taken images at night, I attempted to channel this into my own work.

In Caerphilly at the time, I took a friend with me and went for a walk around the castle and river bank. I didn't use light sources of my own, just what was around such as street lights and a long shutter speed. Because of the long shutter speed I stabilised my camera using a tripod, walls or the floor to stop any blur from camera shake. I used the light meter to gauge how long I would need the shutter speed and adjusted is needs be after the first image of a subject.
