7th Ashford Family Camp: Event Cover

7th Ashford scout group got in touch with me as I had done some work for them before and asked if I could cover their yearly family camp. Unfortunately I couldn't cover the whole span of the Friday-Sunday camp due to other commitments, however the saturday which I could cover was the busiest day of all with plenty of activities. I arrived early morning on the saturday and greeted everyone before adjusting my equipment to the correct settings. It was a very sunny day which helped as a lot of the activities, such a ziplines, were fast pace and needed a fast shutter speed to freeze the movement without blur. I also had to use my 50-200mm zoom lens with my Nikon D5200 camera at some points where I was further away from my subjects due to safety regulations.
The biggest issue with covering this event on my own was time management. I had to plan my time at each stage as there was more than one activity going on at the same time. This meant that if I stayed too long at one station then I may miss out on something happening at another. With three activities each hour slot, I stayed about 15-20 minutes at each.
